The industry nowadays focuses its research on optimising products and objects through
the advent of intelligent, controlled and connected systems.
These innovations allow a renewed agility as well as a much more relevant anticipation
and response to consumer needs.
In the automotive sector, this means more sophisticated autonomous vehicles and ADAS systems; in life sciences we think of artificial hearts or new generation prostheses; in aeronautics, autopilot tools allowing pilots to concentrate on the tasks which require more attention.
At the same time, robotics (industrial, medical, military or even domestic) is developing at a frantic pace. The progress made possible by artificial intelligence is allowing robots to replace humans in increasingly complex tasks: in both autonomous movement of public transport and the exploration of a radioactive site.
Finally, “infotainment” is exploding in our vehicles: integrated screens are becoming the heart of the journey experience. From a simple car radio, we have moved to multi-functional tablets embedded into our dashboard which provide information (GPS, guidance) and enjoyment (radio, entertainment) for an increasingly comfortable and futuristic user experience.
