Context and objectives

Within the team in charge of managing Formula 1 engine developments, the objective is to approve the new calibration sets and strategy developments, with a view to integrating them into engine bench testing.

  • Validation of all Formula 1 engine strategy developments
  • Improvement of tools (IT or hardware) useful for validation and for affected departments
  • Validation of new programmes concerning new Formula 1 engine strategies on the HIL simulator (Hardware in the Loop)

  • Validation of hundreds of software versions enabling continuous performance improvement of the Formula 1 engine
  • Generation of several tools using VBA, saving time and increasing robustness on software validation and operation
