MCA Engineering Netherlands is an ambitious and fast-growing high-tech engineering and consulting organization. Originally French, but now operating in Europe, the secondment of engineers and IT specialists focuses on the design and implementation of innovative systems for large-scale industrial projects. Context
As an Application Support Engineer within the IT Solution Delivery Hardware group you are responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support to client’s Research and Development organization, in particular the electronics designers.

- Focus on multi-disciplinary Hardware Engineering processes.
- Support engineering processes, assist with design way of working questions and application support (knowledgeable support desk).
- Take ownership of reported issues and escalate when needed.
- Work in close alignment in a team of multiple support engineers.
- Align with multiple Agile teams on solutions for the developers(users).
Your Responsibilities
As an Application Support Engineer you will be working in a team with 6 other Support Engineers. You deliver support on IT services based on Windows and Linux to a user base consisting mainly of electrical engineers. Independently, you handle and resolve incoming calls or forward issues to the responsible teams using tools such as ServiceNow and Jira. Aside from this, you ensure the quality of applications by performing limited testing and infrastructure as part of change or escalation management.

You are a motivated team player with effective communication skills who puts customer and end-user impact at the core of the work that is being done. You can work independently with a focus on quality and an analytical but practical mindset. Working in an Application Support Engineering role means bringing the following knowledge and expertise:
- Bachelor level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or Information Technology.
- Basic understanding and practical experience with:
- Linux / Windows
- MS Office applications
- End-User support
- Knowledge of engineering Applications, and in particular Electrical Engineering or Firmware design, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
