MCA Engineering Netherlands is an ambitious and fast-growing high-tech engineering and consulting organization. Originally French, but now operating in Europe, the secondment of engineers and IT specialists focuses on the design and implementation of innovative systems for large-scale industrial projects. The NL office is located in Eindhoven, but the ambition is to open multiple locations in the Netherlands. The company is characterized by a 'can-do' mentality, in which responsibilities lie low in the organization and 'accountability for results' is a natural consequence. At the same time, the focus is on making each other successful and supporting each other, where necessary.
Context
We are looking for an experienced Contamination Engineer to drive contamination-control strategies within advanced high-tech systems operating under extreme cleanliness requirements. In this role, you will ensure that system performance, reliability, and long-term stability are safeguarded through robust cleanliness specifications and validation methods.
You will operate in a multidisciplinary engineering environment where precision, materials science, and surface integrity are critical to success.
Your Responsibilities
- Define and implement contamination-control requirements for complex systems and precision components.
- Translate functional system requirements into measurable cleanliness specifications.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure contamination risks are structurally mitigated.
- Lead functional qualification activities with focus on surface analysis and material behavior.
- Perform and lead root cause analyses related to contamination or performance degradation.
- Develop contamination-control guidelines across the supply chain.
- Validate cleanliness performance using advanced analytical and particle-detection methods.
- Design and improve testing approaches to detect, simulate, and control contamination.
- Accurately document specifications, validation data, and technical justifications.
What You Bring to the Table
- Master’s degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of molecular contamination and surface physics.
- Experience with analytical techniques such as SEM-EDX, XPS, RGA or comparable surface analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of materials science, analytical chemistry, and surface chemistry.
- Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. FMEA, DOE, Six Sigma is a plus).
- Proven experience with ultra-clean or contamination-sensitive high-tech systems.
- Experience working with vacuum environments (UHV experience is a strong plus).
- Background in semiconductor, aerospace, scientific instrumentation, or precision engineering environments.
- Demonstrated ability to deploy contamination strategies across engineering and supply chain environments.
- Fluent in English, Dutch is nice to have.
Your development perspectives
Our ambition is to make our teams diverse and sustainable! So, our primary objective is to make you successful so that you can access the various developments we offer. Eventually, you will be able to develop on multiple activity sectors, but also project yourself internally on Team Manager positions, for example. We can also offer you openings in our European subsidiaries if you are interested.
