MCA Engineering Netherlands is an ambitious and fast-growing high-tech engineering and consulting organization. Originally French, but now operating in Europe, the secondment of engineers and IT specialists focuses on the design and implementation of innovative systems for large-scale industrial projects. The NL office is located in Eindhoven, but the ambition is to open multiple locations in the Netherlands. The company is characterized by a 'can-do' mentality, in which responsibilities lie low in the organization and 'accountability for results' is a natural consequence. At the same time, the focus is on making each other successful and supporting each other, where necessary.

Context

We are seeking a passionate and skilled UX Designer to join our Business Information team for a 6-month assignment. As part of the industrialization department, you will play a key role in shaping reporting and tooling solutions that empower our users—engineers, analysts, and stakeholders. 

Our main internal users/stakeholders are in the field of System Industrialization: Sequences, Procedures, Availability, Reliability, Diagnostics and Cost of Goods

Your Responsibilities

Your mission is to help us develop the right thing first by embedding user-centered design practices into our ideation and development processes. You will collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure our tools and interfaces are intuitive, purposeful, and delightful to use. 
You will contribute by: 

  • Assisting in ideation and value discovery 
  • Creating prototypes to explore and validate concepts 
  • Conducting user testing to gather actionable insights 
  • Applying methods like customer journey mapping, interaction design, design thinking, and usability testing 
  • Helping grow UX knowledge within the team 

Your work will directly improve user efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction, ensuring we develop the right solutions from the start. 

What You Bring to the Table

  • >5 years’ Experience in UX design and user research 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant methods and outcomes 
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma) 
  • Self-starter, takes ownership of agreed goals and gets things done 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment with competing priorities 
  • Flexibility and adaptability
